What is Disinformation? How Does it Work to Dupe You? How to Combat it
“Disinformation” is “Information that is deliberately false or misleading, often spread for political gain or profit, or to discredit a target individual, group, movement, or political party.” [1]
The current Disinformation Pandemic in the U.S. and the world is alarming! Perpetrated by foreign Governments engaged in Information Warfare, as well as by certain U.S. and foreign Media outlets, and political demagogues, and magnified on Social Media, Disinformation is one of the biggest, most dangerous problems of our time, and one of the greatest threats to ourselves, our Freedom, our democracy, and our Country.
To protect ourselves, our families and friends, our Freedom, our democracy, and our Country, it is extremely important that we understand how to recognize Disinformation and how it works, so that we can avoid being deceived and duped by it, and combat it.
